Second, I finished my Christmas project creations >3< I had a project version (the owl), but I made myself a series of mini monster plushie! ^^ Plus, I also designed some accesories such as brooch, moonstone necklace, etc. Will add better pics soon ^^;

Will  be back soon to add the fun pics (product parade!), but I hope you like these! :) Merry Xmas everyone! <3

secretly famous-wish upon the "stars"

Have you ever know, that at this 5th Dec Indonesia just break the world record for flying more than 10.000 lanterns? I suppose it will be in the front page newspaper, or at least in the TV news. But eventually, it's not.

Recently my country has a lot of crime probs esp in corruptions, but I thought people should be aware of this news too. But they're not. I don't know why the media seems so distracted, but..I was wondering..isn't the reason of the corruption genocide (well it's not that easy to get rid anyway) is to encourage people to reach a better living? Then why such an achievement isn't being appreciated well? Kind a shame, isn't it?

Look, isn't it enchanting? Too bad I haven't heard earlier, my bf and me would love to join! :_(  I think this an essential symbol of hopes within Indonesian heritage.

Well then, in any case...I'll do some thing to make little changes of my self. Study better, be a better person, and...make better crafts :D eventually I am making some stuffs (mini plushies, brooch, necklace and more) to sale. As I received request to sell some, well finally to decide I will! :3 Only I haven't decide to open a shop just yet. I still have some pending projects (including bag and dress). Btw, I really love this dress, check it out:

This is a super lovely babydoll dress by my friend Carly J.Cais! Oh my, and she is making a tutorial too! This is a must try >3< You're awesome, Carly! <3 Ah and btw she's having a giveaway too!  Check it HERE :) I will post the pics of my creations around xmas, when those items arrived in Jakarta. That way I can get better pics ^^;

Cya later!

charms and dreams

Hey there  :) it's been awhile since I didn't post anything...hmm today I feel like sharing some of my charms and dreams.. >3< I am now sitting in my room at the 2nd floor, just nearby the balcony. but I feel like sitting by myself underneath a clear blue sky with smokey clouds :3

Have you ever feel like you want to sing all day? Well, that's what I feel right now ^w^ Such a rare feeling I got, as usually I am a flat-feeling person (and always gets complained for being lack of expression and feeling).  But oh well, I'm enjoying it. I am actually gathering inspiration for my thesis. I really need patience for it, because I constantly get complained for lack of details in my explanations. It's probably because I have a habit of pouring tons of ideas and stuffs into my writings, and it makes me lazy to write each details. But now, seems like I've been trapped in temptation of patience T_T

So...for today, I just want to pretend that I'm alone in a place surrounded by purple crocus XD

Hmm have you also notice that the only thing in the pic above which have colors is only the flowers? All of the others are shaded grey. Well philosopicly I pick this pic because the simplicity (I put beautiness in 2nd) and the depth of meaning. It shows when we have a dream, we have to focus, even it's the nearest thing within,  any other colors beside purple could distract our mind. So just focus on the purple. And that's what I need to do now.  FOCUS :)

Okay. let us now share my charms. This is a seashell I bought in Cijin Island, southern Taiwan. You can reach this beautiful place by riding a ferry from Kaohsiung^^. I visit Cijin with my friend Jessie during the school's spring break. It was very sophisticating, we walk along the way and visit some local shops. The price were great too, so this is one of the thing I bought: a bottle (told you I'm obsessed with bottles, haha) filled with purple crystal sands and a beutiful seashell.

And no, this is no ordinary seashell. This is called murex venus (I've been searching for this since I was stunned with the encyclopedia pics-like-um...14 years ago). The sea shell is a part of a Greek myth, people believes that this seashell is a comb of Venus the Love Goddess, and it is a symbol of eternal love. Apparently,  I bought two of these and give the other one to my boyfriend <3 only his bottle's sands are blue, not purple like mine.

Lately I spent my days with my thesis, as I told you, and also some designs. I just finished designing a brooch and have all materials except the brooch pin. I remember saving some pieces somewhere..I'll go seek them later. So here are some of my projects (uploading pics after I'm done with them):

1. my hun's xmas present (still sketching design)

2.  rose&crystal brooch  (design done, preparing materials)

3.  kitty warm pad (done with pattern and materials, ready to start)

4. other designs: plushie, cabochon, bag, etc.

and..(maybe) new art lamp design, since people keeps constantly asking me to make a new one so they could buy it ^^; (my, it's hard to maintain good qualities when the demand is high)  And I haven't gather items to sell either >.<

Aiya, forget to tell. I decide to gather some items and samples to sell next year! But it's my boyfriend who'se gonna sell them, not me >3< here's one of the half done item, a kitty pendant:

Will add some beads, paint and stuffs to boost up the sophisticating looks >3<  btw I made a 4 panel comic strip too! But it's still an ugly scan so I guess I need to edit it a bit to make it look better (had a prob during the scanning and it shows mistake such as paper folding etc).

alrighty, I'm gonna share my 2nd charm later, just want to let you know both are  my fave stuff made from crystal!  I think I'm gonna post the pic along with the rose&crystal brooch :3 Ok folks, cya later then^^

TIKI GERAI A-155 POLTANGAN

Jl. poltangan raya no.4A , Pasar Minggu , Jakarta Selatan

Lately I am having a super bad mood so I made a bad mood teddy plushie! her name is jeyo, named after my friend (JEssica YOnaka) hahaha XD

Made this for a trial, she is what I imagine when I am being grumpy and tired...Designed this in a rush, coz can't wait to start sewing it! :p my mum is a bit upset coz I cut her free gift towel to made this :3 Sorry mum! LOL..

plushie specs: eyes, ear and nose are from unused small pieces of fabrics. I just happen to found an easy but good method to make them hard enough and bead-looking (esp the nose and eyes) but still have soft areas to give space so I can sew it to the plushie :) So no worries, they're not glued!^^ (I don't like to use glues all over the fabric of my plushie).

alright then, cya at the next post!

PS. new art wire and plushie design in progress ;)

clandestine garden mission: done!

(I call this  "snow princess in the desert" )

finally I managed to finished this project! XD

Still remember the transparent organic leaf art tutorial I gave you? Well in this project the leaves already been colored and turned into a flower! <3

specs: coffee bottle (I use nescafe),  real dragonfly-dried, organic leaf art (flower), clay

bottom part: beach sand (white), selfmade blue snow - made of dried residu of coconut flakes.

well then, here's some clues on my next projects: lots of cat stuff..!  *w* and yeah...I'm gonna sell some, only not by online shop..I got sooo many suggestions to open a shop and maybe I should start with small selling projects :) And my skripsi (thesis) advisor liked my "summer's dusty diary" necklace and she ordered me a set of accesories. She said any design is fine, she only want red stones, and also she don't want me to sell the same design to another person. Well that's no problem to me since I always make one design for one item only. I don't like repeating, it makes me lost my passion and the product could be less artistic...

Well then, see ya later I guess...I'm off to manage the long list of projects..and um..my thesis ^^;

konayuki my kitty plushie :3

This is my very first DIY doll, I used to make my own pattern and everything..but I found a tutorial for this super cute kitty plushie, and I modify the stitching a bit so the result is a little different :)

specs: unused towel, eyes and mouth embroidered with silk thread xD I hand sew this coz I don't really like using sewing machine.

(drawing patterns on towel with my drawing pen)

( body parts of plushie-finished all cuttings)

(finished plushie, yay I <3 konayuki!! >3<)

angeling in cage (Ragnarok fan art)

Hey there! After a few days, I made this art, the idea is in a sudden but I hope you'll like it :) Those who played the famous online game Ragnarok must know this very cute character, angeling  *w* it's also a game item in a game so called Pet Society (PS), buta in PS it's a doll, named pink jello.. :D

The deco inside is made from clay, full handmade, not made by special tools coz I don't have one OTL :p But yeah, managed to make one and put it in a cage so it won't run away! >3< I tried to make more details on the wings btw..And oh, this thing have two functions:

1. You can put off the chain easily and put the cage on your table or cupboard as a deco

2. You can also put on the chain and wears it as a necklace, yay! XD

My friends suggested that I should open an online shop..but uhm, still thinking of it  >.<

(me wearing the necklace <3)

kitty <3 husky

ahh after a long time no draw..here is the result, messed up sketch ^^; but yeah, I think it's much better to practice my hands than to let it crack off all of the very less drawing ability I have :p

the husky is my boyfriend (I use to call him husky, and his loyalty always reminds me to a puppy, that's why I draw him as a husky. It's his icon now haha) and the kitty is me (yeah, he calls me kitty XD )

About what the pic is all about, well. ..you can play with your imagination =^^=

a drip of vintage stream

Hello! It's been awhile since I didn't post ^^; so sorry, and this time I have no excuses (I better not)..ah but I come back with new work, yay! this one is a clay necklace I just made, I made it with a help of an unused sodabottle cap..These are the stuffs I used to make it:

The blue pack is the clay pack, the little black thing is a piece of clove, I used it to make the pattern in the edge of the design. First I hammer the bottle cap until it's all flat like a coin and cover it with clay. The water color is for coloring the clay, as you see I only use green and red (only use a little so it became pink). The creme color in the pendon is the original color of the clay. Erm, I guess it's too long since I haven't touch clay, it turns out not like what I expected. But oh well, voila! This is the result (sorry for the ugly pic) >.<

And um, I hate making plain chained necklaces all the time so later when I have time to go to the DIY store (it's just far from home >.<) I will manage to buy the plain DIY chain, beads and stuffs to design the chain for this one..Also, need a transparent pylox to make this thing waterproof..(have to buy that too @_@)

Anyway, when it's all done I will post the pic in this post, and I promised a better pic of course  :3

Ahhh and again, before this thing is even really done somebody (this time my sis) already said: "wow, it's cute, can I have this?" All I can say is, "Sis, you serious? that's a FAIL product!" >,<

la petite paris: update#1

Heyho! It's been awhile since I haven't posted the update, still can't manage to get whole material so I guess I will just post the working progress and early design here! <3 I'm soooo sorry but I search in many place and all of them are still out of stock >.<

the blueprint a.k.a sketch design

As you see I am highliting the word PINK there...I will have to reveal that I am making a fairytale version of the eiffel miniature...which is FULL PINK! yayy X3 Only I have to admit that I have to rush with a few things now so I am only done with the rough basic pattern, so it's like 45% done >,<

Eiffel miniature - the basic frame

I know the pic isn't nice, but the moment when the miniature is done, I will surely post a better pic^^. And yeah, the miniature still looks ugly as well, but don't worry I still have a lot of decos and stuff to add, this is only the very basic frame. :)

Oh my, I guess I just need some refreshing you see, I am a bit stiff with the messy schedule here, so now I am going for some window shopping (^^)/ I am deeply in love with mineral stones, and even it's expensive I am collecting them! <3 Now I already have swarovsky necklace with a snowflake shape, pink crystal bangle (bought it in Ken Ting, Taiwan) and some others as well :3  Guess I'm just too crazy about it, so when my good friend lia from thediarytimes opened an online shop selling them I just can't resist >.<

It's a very enchanting birth stones in capsules, people says when you carry your birthtone it will bring luck to you! :3 I am born at march so my birthstone is aquamarine.. ^w^

Here is the capsules I am going to buy,  and the 2nd pic is the bottled version, it looks nice but I dunno where should I put that..besides, I am already in love with the watery capsule, and if you look closely the capsules have one whole piece of stone while the bottled one have  smaller stone pieces :D

Guess what I will have to wait quite long I think, since these stuffs are from japan and Lia had to manage to get more of those. She said it's been 2 months since the stocks last >.< It's always sold out, I hope I can get one T_T

Erm...so guess now I'll go to sneak some food, I'm starving @_@ I had more designs upcoming and one by one I will post the design plus the result here <3 cya later! XD

(my random drawing, draw this to express

my big lust for salmon onigiri, ROFLOL) XD~

art deco lamp: sparkling with love

I promised you to post the updates of the eiffel miniature, but it turns out that I am really sort of material, and I have to scan the pics later for some reasons I will explain later, perhaps you will have to wait a little more. So sorry for that!  >.<  But I am going to scan the sketch today, so it won't take that long for the update post. And yes of course I will post the update after this post :3  So now I guess I have to do something in return, right? :) And ah, as the theme now is love...it rings me a bell to the art deco lamp I made for my boyfriend, for his bday present at 6th June. (finally got the photos! <3). Here you go:

black and white look

my apologize if you spot the fault in this photo. the wire is not supposed to hang like that on the cable, there's a roundwire to hang the cap on the tip of the  curved wire, only it was taken off by mistake. it is fixed of course, only perhaps  I had to order more photos to my bf's cousin if I want a new one. really sorry for that  :(

this is the bottom part, with love motive <3

the cap is specially design with a bit touch of European look and decos are made of small mineral stones :D

The lamp was actually my first self-designed product at art wire, and I got my bloody hand full of blisters and scratch. And no, don't think making art wires will usually cause that pain :p The problem is I can't manage to found a proper DIY wire, so I use wires for buildings XD and the wire is like 2,5 mm and so hard to bend or curve >.<  But yeah, a handful of scar for an art ? It's worth it!!! :) Moreover, because it is for my honey's bday present...Happily he took a good care of it..and yes, he is proud of it  *blush* X3

As true love is never easy, it will force you to show that you are really strunggling for it. But afterall, there is no rainbow before a heavy rain.

la petite paris: future art project!

Hello all! I am planning to collect item for my france miniature project! This is a long term plan, that's why I name it project and not a quest [bad in naming, sorry ^^; ]  And I am picking more photos here, just in case I had the time to design and made those for this project...Ah..and if you're questioning why I started another artwork before I even finished my clandestine garden mission, it's because I am still in a quest of one material, besides this "la petite paris" will take more time than the "clandestine garden mission" because well..to be honest I have to collect items first, and I need damn a lot of them >.< But btw of course as it is Paris, I won't forget the eiffel miniature!  (^^)~

So..while collecting photos and editing I am starring at my boyfriend's pic, hihi..afterall Paris is a city of love, right? <3

dion@christmas holiday 08 >3<

As you know Paris is the city of mode, and there are a lot of fancy stuffs, ruffles and all awesomeness in fashion! >3< So here I posted one of my favorite stuff I bought in Taiwan,  not typical Parisian but I am sure in Paris you will find a lot of cute stuffs like this (even this one is typically Asian, like Taiwan/Japan/Korea.) So as it is just cute, I think I am adding something like this to the miniature! :D *wish I could really learn crochet someday, the best crochet I can do now is a flower, lol*

DSC01967

It is my fave cute crochet jewelery box! <3 so cute...Perhaps this is a good inspiration for my future la petite Paris! After I'm done with Paris I am going to make little Venice..oh I am so in love with Venice, I wanna ride love gondola with my bf someday.. ^^ Ah, and here's some game items (Pet Society) that may help me get inspired for the design (credits to Michael Simbolon, thx for the pic!)

So the plan is to make several art items related to Paris (still need a lot of reviews and ideas though). The first one to make is of course, the eiffel miniature!  The original design (the one in the pic) is by zakka handmade though, I am going to make something similar to it, only of course, with my modification and design. I already finished the rough design so in a minute I have to flee to the supremarket to buy some materials.. :3 The eiffel miniature is the smallest pic below, you can see how cute it is compared to the real eiffel :)

Next thing to do:  finish my sketch design so I can post it here!  But I think since I have to do my thesis too, I will post the whole design sketch in the post updates, not in this post, sorry! >.<

*just got back from store* ahhh and the materials I'm supposed to bought are out of stock, I only managed to bought the ice cream stick :(  I will have to wait till this weekend for the stock...I really wish there is a proper DIY store here x___O Erm, so I guess I will have to post the progress work around this weekend (I will work on the sketch and the eiffel miniature first.) :3

clandestine garden mission #1

Yay it's finally weekend! I supposed to wake up late, but my dad wake me up  at 8 a.m >.< coz my parent's are going to my mom's ceremony award...Geez she is beautiful already with her green silk dress and her fave jade bangle I bought her at the moment I get downstairs.  Just to let you know the jade bangle was a special one I bought in Ken Ting National Park, when I was traveling during the spring break with my dorm roommate, Jessie and her sister Latisha <3 Got it with a special discount coz it's off peak season!  >3<

So um, yeah..I woke up lazily and figure out what's my plan for today, coz I don't think I'll do my thesis immediately by today [man, it's weekend!] I plan to do it tonight. So...what I did was just taking a walk to my backyard and find some inspiration [for my mission, of course!] :D

I realize that usually in my previous posts I only put 2-3 pics so now I come up with more photos, yayyy!  \(^w^)/  Okie so I guess now it's time for me to explain what I mean with the word "mission" XD erm, yeah the thing is I am going to mix some of my craft skills into one divine art  :3 Frankly I need a few steps to go there. So here step by step I would also like to share you this :D So first please see the pic below [sorry for the low resolution, I took the photo with my 2 MP camera phone >.< ]

It's much better to see the real ones, coz the leaf structures remains while the chlorofiles are gone. Yeah, it's an organic real leaf, isn't it fascinating? :) And making it is easy, all you need is a little patience coz it generally took 2 weeks if you make it with a natural way.  This is the first part of art I am going to use:  organic leaf art.  Mine is from the leafs I took from my garden!  That's why I said this is a clandestine garden mission <3

Ok for this what you need is :

- a couple of leafs. But remember, not all leafs can be used. I used soursop/dutch jackfruit [Indonesian: sirsak] leaf coz it have strong leaf bones. I don't know any leafs other than that, sorry! >.<

- mud. Yes, mud! But don't use thick muds coz it will make the leaf rot. Usually I use the mud from my fish pod. A little stinky but it's the best mud I know to make the leafs :D

So how to make it? Put the mud into a pail, and make sure those are high enough to dip all of the leafs. Remember, put the leafs in a proper position and don't let it fold. After you dip all the leafs in the pail, close the pail and come back after two weeks. Just like that? Yeah, just like that! >3< After your leafs are done, don't forget to clean and dry them. If you want them colored, after it's dried and ready, dip them into coloring liquid [I use fabric powder color mixed with water] and redry them. Don't use acrylic spray coz the result won't be too nice [I tried that already].

Hmm I guess my mission is revealed now.. :p Yep, it is collecting items from my house, especially my garden. Then simply mixed them with several artwork types I have ^^.  But what design it's going to be? Nah, still secret! XD Okie, next garden item!

The upcoming items are... a twig and a bottle! Ahaha, you may laugh because I really like to collect junks, but you know, it's really fun to turn unused stuffs into something pretty :D  So yeah, the twig is a soft twig I cutoff from my roselle tea plant!  [I got a bit wet coz it was raining, hehe]. Btw the red tea in the 2nd pic is a sample of my fave healthy and yummy roselle tea <3 [Yep I have them in my own garden^^]. I pick that twig becase it had a nice shape and color, also it is soft so it is more flexible to be inserted into the bottle. The bottle itself is my unused shampoo bottle  [coconut&rice by Oriflame], it has a nice shape and moreover, it has a clear view and it's easy to clean :3

Now 3 items are revealed! What next? Hmm since I have a nice strawberry&jelly ice waiting for me..

see ya later at clandestine garden mission #2, more items [including additional art items to combine, and perhaps the design and progress!]  revealed later. Come see what I'm up to!

[PS.  I promise you more recipees]  ^___^

Ready To Fly

When I made this all I can imagine is leaving this country so I can be free from every stiff views they always lay an eye on me..And so at one fine day as I walk around my backyard I found a dead butterfly. Fragile wings, but still beautiful. So I dried it and decide it will be part of my artwork. So yeah, it's not just a butterfly, but a real dried butterfly. I think it's prettier than any artificial ones^^.

n762974447_1412435_3494050

Philosopicly you can see by putting the opened wings butterfly inside the bottle, heading to the sky, I was trying to say: "I'm ready to fly. Set me free!" As it is a cannon, the bottle functioned as the cannon's barrel. (the bottle was my friend's unused bottle from the juice she just drank off. I always collect junks potential for my artworks) ;D Btw other parts such as wheels and the square where I land the bottle is designed specially with clover shapes, as a symbol of luck :)

n762974447_1412434_6041710

Ah yes..if you pay attention to the inside decos (stuffs inside the bottle other than the dried butterfly) it is just natural white beach sands and sea shells. I was meaning to say that we need a wide heart and inspiration like the sea. The weather may be hot, the snow may fall, but the sea will always blows an inspirational breeze..

And so yeah, let's fly to the sky ^w^

summer's dusty diary

As it was still the hottest summer and the sunburns made all girls who don't like to be tan moaning all the time, well perhaps it's time to enjoy the  sun! After all, it's summer!! :3  Then what to do next? Let's try to build up the mood to go out more under the summer breeze :D But how? Hmm, let's start the going out-mood with making some selfmade artworks to show off! ^w^ And yeah,  I name it summer's dusty diary coz it's fall now and the pendon reminds me to something in an old treasure box gifted by grandma..but still good :D

Well actually I made one bcoz it's nearly my friends birthday and I need a present for her soon :p (I made this  in around 30 mins including designing, exactly the night before her bday LOL). Well then that actually really works.

Hmm.. frankly because in here I am kinda sort of materials (and that kinda often upsets me) so I just use some of my old stuffs.

What I use:

- some random beads with summerish type (nothing in particular, just the one with warm and bright colors) and I tried to match all the colors. And one bead is larger than any others, to be the center of attention part, of course :3

- two types of wires: First type is the usual wires u usually use for building house. You can easily find them in material building store. Size:  [2 mm for the outline, 1 mm for the inside part (sticking the beads to the edge) and the smallest 0,5 mm is for sticking larger wires together. The last type of wire is the one with bronze color, I am not sure what kind is that one, it's only a trash I found in my dad's old tool box] :D

-  Tools: plier set (Indonesian: tang satu set) but if you don't have a set it's ok, I usually only use the one for cutting, straightening wire, and the one with the small tip.^^ Btw don't be surprised if you may need random stuffs such as glass, pen, etc to help you get the round shape, for example <3

- Last but not least, the plain necklace/chain of course, you can easily find this in handycraft/DIY store :) this depends on your design, though..And for the round thing on the toppest part to put the chain, you don't have to buy that, you can easily make that with the 0,5 mm wire).

The steps are simple:  made the design-the outtest part-put it on the floor and place the beads randomly as you like-Ah, and this is one of the essential part: use the bronze wire to put borders inside the main round shape-of course the main purpose is decorating but you also have advantage because it makes the space between the main round frame smaller, so it's easier for you to stick the beads! :3

Next, put the beads with 1 mm wire as designed, and you're done! :D All you need to do left is to put some roundy shape on top of the mainframe to place the necklace/chain (don't forget to make your pendon to be enably put the roundy wire in order to put the necklace/chain or else you won't be able to wear it as necklace)-put the necklace in-and tadaa you're ready to show off your handmade summer necklace! >3<

Btw sorry if I didn't write them in detail, at first I just want to display the image LOL..and yeah, this design is best to fit in vintage dress/wardrobes with summer spirit, I think^^. Summer fever is still here I guess, even if it's September now :D cya at the other posts, more coming soon! :3

PS. As I got her pic wearing the necklace [thanks mel!] here it is! >3< Hope u like it^^

mel
